This site is dedicated to the work of Nick Patten.  It features his oil paintings and his original, hand-colored lithographs.  In 2004, after living on Cape Cod for 12 years and exhibiting his work in his own gallery (The Patten Gallery in Chatham, MA), as well as numerous other galleries throughout New England, Nick relocated back to his native New York.  He works in a private studio behind his home in the Hudson Valley. 

On this site you will see current paintings in which he is continuing the exploration of light and shadow, primarily in the subject of room interiors.  Click on any of the images that are on the "PAINTINGS" and/or "LITHOGRAPHS" pages to view a larger version of the piece.   There is also a page to direct you to the galleries that are exhibiting his work ~ the "GALLERIES & SHOWS" page.  This section includes a schedule of shows and special events.  If you wish to review his vitae, you may visit the "BIO" page which includes past shows, awards, etc...
